As a Retail Store Associate, you will support all customers throughout their visit to the store. You'll assist customers with gardening and homebrew questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations on products and materials.

Job Description

• Provide customers with prompt and friendly service
• Process and ring up customer purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Respond to customer concerns and answer technical brewing questions via, phone, email, and in person
• Provide support to other retail associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise, including at alternate store locations
• Prepare items for stocking, receive inventory transfers, and maintain inventory counts
• Be alert to potentially systematic problems that require immediate action and bring them to the attention of the Retail Manager
• Assist with store marketing and promotional events
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work environment (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, keep isles clear, etc.)
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience delivering dedicated and responsive customer service
• A high school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
• BJCP or Cicerone certification strongly preferred
• Three to six months of related experience or training in brewing beer or making wine
• Experience working with, and knowledge of, basic formulas and standard measurements
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
